Warning from disunity due to Madhabism

Abū Dāwūd narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet said: The Jews split up into seventy-one or seventy-two sects; and the Christians were split up into seventy-one or seventy-two sects; and my community will be split up into seventy-three sects. [Abū Dāwūd vol. 13, p. 240 #4596]

This hadith is Hasan

It was also narrated by Tirmidhi vol. 7, p. 297, #2640 and he said, “The hadith of Abu Hurayrah is Hasan Saheeh.” It was also narrated by Ibn Mājah vol. 2, p. 1321 #3992.

Abstaining from taking a Fatwa if the Soul is not at ease by it

Narrated by Al-Khushani who said, “O Messenger of Allah, inform me of a matter which is permissible for me and a matter which is prohibited for me.” The Prophet got up and directed his gaze towards him and said, “righteousness is that about which the soul feels at ease and the heart feels tranquil. Sin is that which wavers in the soul and causes uneasiness in the heart, regardless if people repeatedly give fatwas in favour of it.” And he said, “Do not go near the meat of donkeys or any prey with fangs.” [Ahmad vol. 4, p. 193]

This hadith is Saheeh. The prohibition of eating animals with fangs is in the Saheeh from the narrations of Idrīs al-Khawlāni from Abu Tha’labah. And likewise the prohibition of eating donkeys is in the Saheeh from the hadith of Idrīs al-Khawlani from Abu Tha’labah as is in ‘Tuhfatul Ashrāf’.
